A Special Owens Birthday Party This Saturday, June 28th!
A new ensemble, FALSTAFF'S FOLLY (https://www.falstaffsfolly.com/) will be making its debut at Connolly's Klub 45 (121 W. 45th Street near Times Square) at 8 PM this Saturday, June 28th. The group features actor Geoffrey Owens (Shakespeare teacher, Director, and "Elvin" from The Cosby Show) and his brother, singer-songwriter Chris "Oledude" Owens.
Joining them will be drummer Beau Brady, Barbara Frankel on flute, Justin Tinker on sax, and multi-instrumentalist Zack Staples. Original songs, including some social justice commentary, will be presented as well as fun cover tunes, including a parody. It will definitely be an adventure!
The Owens family will be celebrating what would have been Congressman Major Owens' 89th birthday!!! Join us!
Then, performing at 9 pm for two hours, comes Brooklyn's 15TH STREET (https://www.15thstreetband.com/), the Americana pop-rock group which also includes Chris Oledude and Justin Tinker, as well as lead singers Mike Hiller and Kristen Meade, guitarist Doug Murphy, drummer Warren Shaw, and bassist Nate Fenlon.
